Rehearsal Diary
REMAINING REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES
This is quite a long but very important message. Soon we transfer our rehearsal activities to the theatre in Auderghem where we have a short time to get the production running for performance on Thursday. Scenery will be erected, lights hung and programmed, microphones set, stage furniture assembled and the cast need to familiarize themselves with the size and layout of the stage and lodges.
The primary focus of this period is safety, with getting the show together a very close second. To achieve this goal in a safe and timely way, I need your cooperation. We have a few rules for the theatre.
Safety
Please do not go on to the stage at any time unless you a called. Stay downstairs until you are called or until you hear your cues on the PA system. Lights are being hung, scenery is being flown - the stage at the wrong time is a dangerous place.
Family friends and colleagues must under no circumstances go on-stage, back-stage or downstairs in the lodge area before or during the show. They are welcome in the downstairs area only after the show.
Be very careful about the orchestra pit when you are moving on-stage. It will be open and during the technical rehearsal there may be periods of insufficient lighting.
